For KORN’s as-yet-untitled album due in the late summer via Prospect Park/Caroline, the band chose not to repeat the dub step/rock fusion of their previous album The Path of Totality, but remained intent on keeping the sounds fresh and new.
–KORN on their new album: they promise to mesh the classic dual guitar attack of James “Munky” Shaffer and Brian ‘Head’ Welch (returning for the first time since the band’s 2003 album Take A Look In The Mirror), with an all-new approach to the integration of electronics.
–KORN are recording the album in Bakersfield, CA where they have taken over the historical Buck Owens’ Studios in the old River Theatre Building, which opened in 1939 and has hosted many top artists over the years including the likes of James Brown and Johnny Cash.
–KORN on Brian Head returning: “We knew we would have a blast playing together, ‘cause we love each other so much, but we really wanted to make sure the music felt right before we committed to making a whole album together. But since we got in the studio, everything just started pouring out, now I can’t wait until our fans hear this stuff!!”
KORN will be headlining Rock Jam 2013 on Saturday August 24th, 2013
